Kristol at the Times

By the way, is anyone else as baffled as I am that the New York Times has named Bill Kristol as a regular columnist?

Is Kristol considered a legitimate commentator these days?

Depends on the audience I suppose. I frankly would have understood more if they had done this two years ago, but at a time when the foreign policy doctrines he has advocated lie in tatters, I'm a bit confused as to why they have decided to give him a spot on their op-ed page. Not to mention the fact that he has made sport of mocking the Times over the years.

Agreed. His op-ed the other day was so awkward, particularly given the fact that he quoted Michelle Malkin as some sort of respected commentator.
